This is Joas Burggraaf. Telling stories is his passion as a Cinematographer. He is creative, driven, enthusiastic, and one-of-a-kind. With over twenty years of experience, he's working on several feature films, series, and commercials.
He loves light! This is his signature in making films, creating worlds and atmosphere. He is creative and original, telling stories with light and pictures.

Equipment
During his career, Joas has collected a lot of high-end equipment, such as the ARRI Alexa Mini LF (4.5K), a Steadicam, JIB, and much more. Thanks to having his own gear, he knows all the ins and outs and is extra prepared for every shoot. He ensures the rental prices are consistently below the rental companies for production.

Story first
Joas believes any film or project will only succeed with a good story. When there is a compelling story, he can ensure it is told in the best way possible within the given boundaries. With his cinematography, the atmosphere and feeling per scene will be on par with the story that is to be told. He loves to strengthen the emotions by playing with light and movements.

Post production
While filming, he keeps the post-production in mind. ‘Fix it in post’ is not excisting. The more you can do ‘in-camera’ the better. After shooting the project, Joas likes to stay involved with editing and colorgrading.
